Om Sai Ram. Shiridi Sai Baba has saved me and my family many times. Three weeks ago, my father was diagnosed with lung cancer. The doctors had to do a procedure to shrink the tumor, but to our horror, my father started bleeding and the doctors told us that they couldn't guarantee anything; it might be a few hours only...if that. Frantically, we made calls to relatives near and far to come and see my father for the last time...in the midst of this chaos, I remembered Baba's words, "...Look to me and I look to you..." I prayed sincerely to Baba to look to my father and to save him...I asked Baba to go in the operating room and to stop the blood himself as the doctors said they were helpless...In about an hour, the bleeding stopped!!! Everyone who had gathered in the hospital who were ready to say their last words to my father were in a grateful shock! Baba had saved my father! He was alive. Today, it has been three weeks since this miracle, and my family and I are grateful to Baba for this miracle...every single day that you are giving to my father is greatly appreciated, Baba. I will not forget my promise that I have made to you...I love you, Baba...Thank you. Shirdi Sai Nath Maharaj Ki Jai!

Does any one know about a harijan girl names Jipri? I got a calendar from a local sai mandir
They have mentioned about her They also claim that sai baba lighted diyas from water for her sake When she went to ask for oil the villagers beat her up as she was harijan.
Is this story true? Does anyone have any information on that?

Om Sai Ram,

About lighting the diyas (earthen lamps)with water instead of water. It was Sai Baba who used to ask for the oil. In Sai SatCharitra and also other books written by Swami Sharnanand it is stated that the oil traders denied giving oil to Baba.

Baba remembered the name of God and went to Masjid (Dwarkamai. The people followed and what they saw was amazing,Sai Baba poured water in place of oil and lighted the lamps which kept burning the whole night.

From that day, people of Shirdi became aware of the divine powers Sai Baba had.

Om Sai Ram.

We were fortunate to have been blessed for a visit to Sirdi. Baba has always said that He will send for you when your time comes and all arragements will be made for you to visit Him at Sirdi.
We travelled by coach from Mumbai to Sirdi and arrived there early morning. After freshning up at the hotel, we made our way to the shrine.
After a brief visit to Dwarikamai and the temple we decided to sit and relax near the Museum to have a snack, but wanted something hot to drink, so went around to find a cafe for some tea. unfortunately everthing was closed as it was very early in the morning.
Dissappointed, we sat down to have a snack, which we had brought it with us. After the snack, my wife said, she wished for something sweet to eat.
Heaven behold, a few minutes later, an old women came by and offered us prasad, which we gracefully accepted. She offered myself, my wife and a guard, who was standing nearby the prasad. She the left quickly as she had come.
We had the prasad and then realised what had happened.
The prasad was Siro and it was hot. Now our thoughts were, how come the prasad was hot, when we had been everywhere to find hot tea and could not find a single cafe open? Where did the prasad come from and who was the lady, who brought this to us.
So very quickly we went round the Ashram to see if we could find the old women but could not find her anywhere, nor any cafe open.
We believe that this was indeed BABA, who came to us on our demise, but could not recognise HIM , at the time.
We feel really blessed by Baba's promise that HE will never dissapoint you if you have srada in HIM and He will always fullfill your wishes if you visit the soil of Sirdi on His command.
When your time comes, He will ask for you and no matter what, all arrangements will be made by HIM to visit Sirdi. If not , even if you try everthing, for some reason, you will not be able to visit him. Have faith and HE will ask for your visit.
